I was saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit at age 19 during my college years in 1971. Cathy grew up in church and has always known and served the Lord.
We began in marriage and ministry together in 1974. We have been honored to serve eight great churches in various capacities, beginning with a youth pastorate at a large church in Shreveport Louisiana at ages 21/19. We planted our first church in Natchitoches Louisiana at ages 25/23. What followed were four other churches in Texas, and two in Mississippi.
Since 1995, my wife Cathy and I have been the founding and lead pastors of Rejoice Church in Olive Branch MS, a suburb in the Memphis TN metro area. Rejoice is a nondenominational, Spirit filled, and racially diverse Christian fellowship, sharing the joy of God’s love with everyone. Out of this Olive Branch church, three others were planted.
In 2011 God led us to launch a ministry to the nations known as Rejoice International Network. It’s purpose is connecting and equipping God’s people for end-time awakening and harvest of Biblical proportions in our generation. Our focus is networking through freedom-based covenant relationships. Our goal is to help fulfill the Great Commission in our lifetime. We do this by helping you fulfill your part in God’s great big plan, using servant-leadership and networking relationships.
God has blessed Rejoice International, and we are now growing in 12 countries with over 400 ministers and churches, Nigeria being our largest partner.
What else?
Ordained as an apostle in 2018, author, guitarist, motorcyclist (have motorcycled in 41 states), and international man of mystery. The first four are true, to the best of my knowledge. My wife and I went vegetarian in 2012, and I went vegan in 2017. We love this lifestyle change for a lot of reasons. (And no, we never miss meat.) But most importantly I am husband to the love of my life for over forty-five years (April 6, 1974), Dad to three incredibly gifted and beautiful daughters who love and serve the Lord, Father in-law to an amazing Son-in-law, and Grand-Papa’ to six amazing grandchildren. It just doesn’t get any better than this. But if it does, I will certainly add it to the list. 🙂
